Castel de Cantobre Gîtes, The Egyptian Gîte Inventory and Factsheet

• What the Rental Price Includes:
  1. Bed linen (beds will be made up for your arrival), towels and tea towels (for use inside the gîte only).
  2. Baby cots and high chairs are available (please request when booking as we need to make sure we have enough here). We do provide cot linen but suggest you bring your own for your baby’s comfort.
  3. Consumables for use in the gîte: salt, pepper, sunflower oil, balsamic vinegar, herbes de Provence, herbs in our garden (sage, thyme, rosemary), coffee filter papers, kitchen roll, toilet paper, liquid soap for hand washing, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, multi-surfaces cleaning spray, dish washing sponges and cloths and bin liners.
  4. Electricity and tap water.
  5. Under-floor heating (maximum 21 °C) in all rooms except the 2 bedrooms on the top floor of The Griffon which have electric heaters; electric radiators can be used in any room if you need more heat. The gîtes have a B rating in energy efficiency!
  6. When the outside temperature rises above 25 °C, the surplus electricty from our solar panels can be used to reverse the under-floor heating system and cool the floor to between 20 °C and 16 °C (depending on the outside temperature). It is your choice whether you leave your windows and doors open during the day or to cool the floor; it is a waste of energy to do both at the same time! During hot weather, our advice is to keep windows and doors closed during the day and windows open at night.
  7. BBQ (but not the charcoal), a limited supply of sun loungers and magnificent scenery.
  8. Cleaning equipment for you to keep the gîte clean and tidy. You are expected to leave the accommodation in the same state as you found it. A cleaning charge of 45 Euros plus 10 Euros per bedroom will be made if the gîte requires cleaning after your departure.
  9. Laundry facilities including washing machine and laundry detergent. A drying machine is also available (wet weather use only please).
  10. If you stay more than 7 nights, we provide a change of linen and towels once a week. If you require more frequent changes we make a charge of 10 Euros per bed; we do provide free laundry facilities for you to use if you wish.
  11. Access to our shared library of CDs, DVDs, books and games, and use of our secure WiFi (30Mb+).

• Booking and Payments
  1. The balance of the payment must be paid 4 weeks before your arrival (or on arrival if paying by cash (euros) or a cheque on a French bank account). If the balance is not paid within this time we reserve the right to cancel the reservation with loss of your deposit.
  2. The quoted rental price includes all taxes except tourist tax (taxe de séjour) which we collect on behalf of the Mayor’s office (0.50 € per person over 17 years old per night).
  3. All prices are fixed at the time you make the booking request and accepted payment methods and currency will be indicated on the Booking Request Confirmation.
  4. Unless previously agreed otherwise, arrival is after 16.00 hours local time and the tenants must vacate the property by 10.00am local time on the day of departure.

Inventory

Cooking facilities: Electric cooker (cooker hood, 4 pan hob, oven, roasting tray and grill pan). Fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Electric toaster, kettle & coffee maker, microwave with grill, refrigerator (with small freezer, ice cube trays & freezer blocks) and dishwasher. 3 saucepans (with lids), large and small frying pan, casserole/roasting pot, pressure cooker, electric hand blender with whisk, colander, oven glove. Wine rack, bread bin, 2 plastic trays, 5 kitchen knives, wooden and plastic chopping boards. Measuring jug, sieve, 6 egg cups, egg slicer, lemon squeezer, cheese grater, garlic crusher, corkscrew/bottle opener, nut cracker, tin opener, tea strainer, scissors, vegetable peelers, basting brush. BBQ tongs, fork and spatula. In metal: spatula, ladle, serving spoon, pasta serving spoon, potato masher and whisk. In plastic: spatula, tongs, serving spoon and shovel, fork. Wooden spatula. 3 glass oven/serving dishes of various sizes, 4 glass dishes for nibbles, salad spinner, flan dish, salad bowl. 4 glass bowls and 1 plastic food container, all with plastic lids for storing items in the fridge. Thermos flask, plastic wine cooler, washing up bowl, dustpan and brush, under sink waste bin.

Dining area: 6 person dining table (with table cloth, spare table cloth for outside too) with 5 dining chairs. Recycling containers, cool box, low stool to reach shelves in kitchen. 5 sets of cutlery (large knife, small knife, large fork, small fork, dessert spoon, soup spoon, and 2 tea spoons). Crockery cabinet containing: 10 sets of large plate, soup/stew/risotto plate, small plate, cereal bowl, tumbler, wine glass, champagne glass, shots glass. 5 sets of tea cup and saucer, tall mug, drinking bowl. Wine/juice decanter, water jug, tea pot, sugar bowl, salt and pepper pots, large and small ceramic jugs. Plastic picnic set comprising 4 plates (large and small), bowls and cups. A round ceramic serving dish, ceramic serving bowl, glass fruit bowl, toast rack. 6 times (flexible table mat, solid table mat, drinks coaster and napkin).

Living room: Sofa, coffee table, electric fan in summer, electric radiator on demand. Bookcase with TV, satellite receiver, DVD player (and remotes). Local information and guest book.

Bedroom 1: Double bed and single bed each with a bedside table and lamp, built-in dresser shelf with side mirror, chair. Wicker armchair, low wicker table, double wardrobe with shelves, single wardrobe with shelves, clothes hangers. Decorative hanging mirror on wall, full length wall mirror. Vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, hair dryer.

Bedroom 2: Double bed with 2 bedside tables and lamps, built-in dresser shelf with side mirrors, chair. Low armchair, low table, double wardrobe with shelves, single wardrobe with drawers and shelves, clothes hangers, mirror hanging on wall. Hair dryer.

Bathrooms: Main bathroom with toilet, electric shower, sink, mirror and waste bin. Small laundry basket and broom, mop and bucket. Second toilet and sink with mirror/bathroom wall unit and waste bin. Wet room with second shower. Clothes drying rack at the end of the corridor.

Terrace: Patio table, awning for shade, 5 chairs and a BBQ.
Laundry room below terrace: Washing machine, laundry liquid, tumble drier.
