Gîtes Castel de Cantobre - notre gîte Le Griffon
Le gîte 
peut accueillir jusqu’à 7 personnes et dispose de 3 chambres, une avec un lit double, une avec 2 lits simples et une avec un lit double et un lit simple. Il dispose de 2 salles de bains et la cuisine / salle à manger a une grande table en chêne pouvant asseoir 10 personnes.
La fenètre du salon ouvre sur une terrasse plein sud avec une vue magnifique sur la rivière Dourbie et la vallée.
En allant au jardin, la terrasse entoure un côté du gîte, et fourni ainsi de l’ombre pendant l’été.

Les deux gîtes ont des cuisines bien équipées, (machine à laver et un sèche-linge) et pour les rares jours de pluies,
nous avons la télévision qui vous permet de capter les chaînes françaises dans les salons (ou la télévision satellite pour les chaînes anglaises).
Nous partageons notre propre bibliothèque avec vous afin que vous puissiez lire un livre ou deux pendant votre séjour.
La bibliothèque comprend de nombreux jeux et puzzles ainsi que des CD et des DVD que vous pourrez regarder avec le lecteur fourni.
L’Internet en WiFi gratuit (30Mbit+) est également disponible.
Les gîtes peuvent être loués ensemble ou séparément.
Une quarantaine de mètres en passant par notre cave fraîche sépare le petit gîte du rez-de-chaussée,
L’Egyptien, d’une terrasse ombragée commune aux deux gîtes et exposée au nord-ouest avec un paysage
aussi magnifique que celui des deux terrasses privées de chaque gîte.
Quelques marches en pierre vous amèneront à notre jardin de 1250m2 avec son terrain de pétanque,
sa pelouse et notre propre rocher qui offre probablement la meilleure vue de tout Cantobre avec son panorama de 360° sur
les vallées de la Trèvezel et de la Dourbie et des 3 plateaux de calcaire qui nous entourent (le Causse Bégon,
le Causse Noir et le Causse du Larzac). Continuez sur le chemin jusqu’à la remise où se trouvent des chaises
longues pour le jardin et vous serez arrivés au Griffon, le plus grand gîte.
Tarification
Nous avons 2 saisons, la haute saison (du 13 juillet au 23 août en 2024) et le reste de l’année. En 2024, le prix hebdomadaire en haute saison est de 1166 € et le reste de l’année de 704 €. En 2025, il sera de 1228 € et de 744 € respectivement. Nous offrons quelques réductions, telles que l’utilisation d’une seule chambre (pour les couples), à condition de ne pas payer avec PayPal et de séjourner pendant 3 semaines et quelques-unes en plus... Août 2023 - O&P de Faumont, FranceÇa y est, c’est l’heure de départ! Un grand merci pour votre accueil chaleureux, vous êtes vraiment adorables! Ici, on s’y sont comme chez nous, il ne manque de rien. Merci aussi pour ce moment convivial autour d’un apéritif, un vrai moment en famille. Nous vous souhaitons bonne continuation et au plaisir de revenir avec notre petite fille. Bises.
We stayed in the larger Griffon Gite with 2 friends for a week and then our daughter and her husband joined us for the second week. We all had such a wonderful holiday. After 2 stays at the campsite below the village (which is not visible from the village) we had often wondered about staying in Cantobre itself - 30 years later, we made it! And so glad we did! I could sit on the terrace, looking at the views for ever! Dear little Midge, the cocker spaniel, was a big hit and Lionel and Peggy the nicest, friendliest hosts you could wish for. Thank you so much.
Lovely view and it was immaculate. The beds were very comfy and the outside table and chairs were perfect for the nice weather. My only complaint was that I would have liked a bathroom upstairs. I would definitely choose to come again. Also such friendly owners.

Après une année riche en événements de toutes sortes, nous avons fait le choix de visiter cette région. Nous en sommes ravis. C’est un endroit magnifique paisible. Lionel et Peggy ont le sens de l’accueil. La maison est vraiment agréable et le jardin, un lieu paisible... Merci à vous deux pour cette parenthèse dans la vallée de la Dourbie.

Thank you for pots with lids. Was nice doing my workout up on the hill with a breath-taking view!! We really enjoyed watching the sky in the evening and even saw 4 shooting stars!! All in all had a pretty nice time here:-) danke schön.
Beau gîte disposant de tous les équipements requis pour un séjour familial. La vue est tout simplement superbe, que ce soit de la terrasse privative ou du jardin partagé. Nous nous sommes sentis très privilégiés de séjourner à Cantobre, village préservé du tourisme de masse, qui est une véritable pépite dans la région. L’accueil de Peggy et de Lionel est professionnel et amical, avec cette pointe d’humour anglais qui fait toute la différence.

What more is there to say - Where is there anywhere more beautiful and peaceful? The scenery is so amazing and varied, the villages are authentic, the people are friendly and Castel de Cantobre - including Peggy, Lionel and Midge are just lovely !

Natives friendly - Thanks Peggy & Lionel for letting us share your Castel and for all the help and information willingly given. The Griffon is in a stunning location and aptly named.
